Cincinnati Reds Opening Day Game 2006

What a great time!  Thank goodness, baseball is back!  It's been a long winter without baseball!  Just think, before long the hot summer days, baseball games, cold beer and pop, hot dogs, peanuts!  Isn't it great!

I have to say, the weather could have been better for this game, but hey, it's baseball!  It was well worth it!  We even got to see President George W. Bush throw out the first pitch!  No matter what your view on politics or the President, it was still a great experience!  Baseball is timeless!  There is no politics, it doesn't matter how old you are, what you do for a living or even where you live.  A baseball game is just pure fun!  A time to relax and watch great athletes play a great game.  From the little leagues, high school ball, minor leagues or the majors, it is just a great time!

The people were great!  The place was packed!  Security was tight due to the President being there, but it wasn't that bad.

This was a great time, I am so glad we were able to go!  Sure, I wish the Reds would have won, but no matter the outcome, it was still a once in a lifetime experience!
