Well, a lot has gone on since I last updated Stormy's page!  After a few rides in the round pen, Stormy was back on the trails around the farm.  We took him to Henryville last week and he did great.  The trails at Henryville have some stuff we just don't have around here on our trails.  LOTS of mud!  It's a great place to introduce the young horses to creeks, mud holes, downed trees, lakes, and lots of other horses.  Click on the link below to see all the pictures!

Stormy didn't want to cross the first creek.  But after a half our of persistence, he did.  Stormy is hard headed, and stubborn at times.  Although he never bucked or reared, he did put up a good fight!  By the end of the day, he had seen it all and was pretty tired.  (Henryville has lots of hill too if you've never been there!)  We had a great time!

Stormy got his new shoes last week!  He did great for Tom.  I was able to get some great pictures while he got his shoes.  He was pretty patient and stood well.  He really like the fan Tom brought!  It seemed to keep the pesty flies off of him.

The first few rides indoors pictures didn't come out, they were way to dark.  He's been riding well.  Most of the work we've been doing on the ground.  He's had to adjust to the fact that he is a horse, not a large dog.  He's been well taken care of.  But he has no respect for people.  Everyday has been a fight just trying to get him out of the stall.  He turns his butt at you and kicks.  Just this morning his back feet flew about 3 inches from my head.  I have to say, I am not happy with Stormy right now.  He has to learn respect for his handlers and that he does not run the show.  He's a very friendly horse with a great personality.  But as soon as you ask him to do something he doesn't want to do, he has a fit.  So, we're back to square one.  Ground manners.
