Well, she made her first trip in
the real world! She did great! Kita is very alert, and pays
attention to everything! She rode thru mud, water, culverts, even stepped
over a log! Although she was a little nervous, with a little gentle
persuasion she rode everywhere. The whole ride was fairly non-eventful!
By the end of the ride, she was getting relaxed. She didn't really like
Buddy the dog, but she'll get over that! She did great! We're so proud of
her!

Kita did great today for
the farrier! Well, sorry to say no new pictures again. We've been
waiting for shoes to take her out riding, we've been riding inside. Now
with her new wheels, she's ready to roll! Check back soon, she's doing
great! I still can't believe how her attitude is changed!

Well, another great day! Kita did great!
She had a short workout today, only 1 hour instead of 5!!! We are all
really proud of her! Not sure why she's so darn bull headed, but that is
starting to change! Somewhere under her thick skull is a great loveable
horse! Slowly but surely we are seeing more and more progress! With
warmer weather this weekend, we'll riding! Check back for more pictures!

Wow! That's
all I can really say right now! After a very tough week, she finally rode.
Every once in a while life throws you a challenge, well here it is! Kita
is a very head strong horse. But today it finally happened!
She lunged! For most this may seem like no big deal, but to us and her
owners, it is. The first time Rod tried lunging her, she basically
attacked him. It's taken Rod over a week of constant ground work to
finally break thru with this horse. It was amazing to watch as she finally made the connection
to what she was expected to do. The first time she made a full
circle around the round pen, we were all ecstatic! I was actually
able to ride her! Here are a few pictures! She even got
her first bath today!
Maybe, just maybe, in that thick stubborn head of Kita's is a great horse just
waiting to be found. I sure hope so! More to come......

Kita needs a few more days to get
settled in! After seeing her parents last night, she's doing better and a
little more at ease. She's going to be a challenge! Kita requires a
lot of patience and understanding, she's a nervous horse. The move from
her home to our barn has her shook up. Rod's been working on her
ground manners and is seeing slow progress, but progress it is! More to
come, and pictures too!
