I should have had this posted a long time ago! I blame the sunny days we've had, it was more fun to be outside than in here! Sorry!
Chant - he's huge! He's not the tallest horse in the world, but you just don't see one like him everyday! He's a sweet horse! And doing great too! His owners have taken a very serious commitment with this horse. They've been working with Rod every chance they get! It's great to see such determination.
We were amazed last week when he stood like a Veteran Gelding getting his first set of shoes! See, Chant had a problem with his feet! He didn't like anyone touching them! He's had a long few weeks of ground handling and working with his feet almost daily, but did great for Tom the farrier.
His first few rides were as expected, bumpy! But we've worked all that out! This owner has even been out here riding him now! He needs a little more trail time, but doesn't seem to be spooky. Thank Goodness! His last trail ride was almost perfect! He hesitated on a few mud holes and a ditch, after a few minutes of persuasion, he went thru them.
